Job Overview

The MFG Continuous Improvement Leader at Kroger plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence within our manufacturing facilities. This position focuses on implementing lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement strategies to enhance production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance. Reporting to the Manufacturing Operations Manager, you will lead cross-functional teams to identify process bottlenecks, develop data-driven solutions, and sustain long-term improvements across Kroger's grocery production lines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Kaizen events and rapid improvement workshops to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze production data using statistical tools to identify trends and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Train and coach plant associates on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to implement sustainable solutions.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure improvement initiatives' impact on cost, quality, and delivery.

Qualifications & Skills

Successful candidates will have proven experience in manufacturing continuous improvement, strong analytical abilities, and excellent leadership skills. A Lean Six Sigma certification and familiarity with food manufacturing regulations are highly desirable. This role requires the ability to influence without direct authority and drive cultural change toward continuous improvement mindset.

  • Develop and maintain performance dashboards tracking key manufacturing metrics and improvement initiatives
  • Coach and mentor plant leadership and associates in continuous improvement principles and tools
