Job Overview

The MFG General Manager III at Kroger is a senior leadership role overseeing manufacturing operations within our extensive network of production facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Direct all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, and inventory management.
• Develop and implement manufacturing strategies aligned with corporate objectives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of managers and associates, promoting a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Manage budgets, capital expenditures, and resource allocation to achieve financial goals and operational KPIs.
• Ensure adherence to FDA, USDA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
• Collaborate with supply chain, procurement, and distribution teams to optimize the end-to-end manufacturing process.
• Drive lean manufacturing initiatives, implement Six Sigma methodologies, and leverage data analytics for process improvements.
• Represent the facility in executive meetings, vendor negotiations, and crisis management situations.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, preferably in food or consumer goods. A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field is required; an MBA or advanced certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is preferred. Proven track record in P&L management, team building, and operational turnarounds is essential. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, and knowledge of automation technologies are critical for success in this dynamic environment.
