Job Overview

The MFG LAB TECH 2nd Shift position at Kroger involves working in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety. As a key member of the production team, you will perform critical laboratory testing, analysis, and documentation on food products during the 2nd shift (typically 3 PM to 11 PM). This role supports Kroger's commitment to delivering safe, high-quality grocery items to customers across our nationwide stores. You will collaborate with production staff, quality assurance teams, and maintenance personnel to identify and resolve any issues that could impact product integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine chemical, physical, and microbiological tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Record test results accurately in digital systems and maintain detailed lab logs for compliance with FDA and USDA regulations.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring all instruments meet operational standards.
• Investigate quality deviations, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and familiarity with lab safety protocols. A background in food science or chemistry is preferred.
