Job Overview

The MFG Lab Tech position at Kroger involves supporting manufacturing operations through laboratory testing, quality control, and data analysis in our state-of-the-art production facilities. This role ensures product safety, compliance with FDA regulations, and high standards of quality for Kroger's private label and branded goods. Lab Techs perform routine and specialized tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to maintain consistency and excellence across our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical, physical, and microbiological analyses on food and non-food products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, spectrometers, and incubators.
• Record test results accurately in digital systems and generate reports for quality assurance teams.
• Identify deviations from specifications and collaborate with production staff to implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should hold an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field. Prior experience in a manufacturing lab setting is preferred, along with proficiency in lab instrumentation and data analysis software. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
