Job Overview

The MFG Maintenance Mechanic at Kroger plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, packaging machines, and processing lines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to resolve production issues promptly.
• Utilize diagnostic tools and blueprints to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours, minimizing impact on operations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and parts inventory using CMMS software.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, and participate in safety audits.
• Assist in installing new equipment and upgrading existing systems to improve efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, and familiarity with FDA regulations for food manufacturing. A high school diploma or GED is required, with vocational training or an associate degree in mechanical maintenance preferred. Strong problem-solving abilities and physical stamina for working in a fast-paced environment are essential.
