Job Overview

The MFG Maintenance Mechanic at Kroger plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing facilities. This position involves performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing complex machinery to minimize downtime and uphold production standards. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including conveyors, packaging machines, and processing lines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to resolve breakdowns efficiently.
• Utilize diagnostic tools, blueprints, and schematics to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate with production teams to schedule maintenance during off-peak hours, minimizing impact on operations.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance logs, and inventory of spare parts using CMMS software.
• Adhere to safety protocols, including OSHA standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Assist in installing new equipment and upgrading existing systems to improve efficiency and reliability.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must have at least 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, proficiency in PLC troubleshooting, and strong mechanical aptitude. A high school diploma or GED is required, with vocational training or an associate degree in a related field preferred. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
