Job Overview

The MFG Plant Project Engineer at Kroger plays a critical role in optimizing manufacturing operations within our state-of-the-art food production facilities. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement manufacturing process improvements to increase throughput and reduce waste.
• Manage capital projects from inception through commissioning, including scope definition, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
• Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop preventive maintenance strategies.
• Ensure all projects adhere to FDA, USDA, and Kroger safety and quality regulations.
• Utilize data analytics and lean manufacturing principles to optimize plant performance.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment. Proficiency in AutoCAD, project management software like MS Project, and Six Sigma methodologies is essential. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational setting are required.
