Job Overview

The Owensboro Pharmacy Manager at Kroger is a leadership role overseeing all pharmacy operations at our Owensboro location. This position ensures the safe, effective, and compliant delivery of pharmaceutical services while driving customer satisfaction and team performance. As a key member of the store leadership team, the Pharmacy Manager manages inventory, staff, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of pharmacy technicians and assistants, providing training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
• Oversee prescription dispensing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to state and federal regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and maintaining stock levels to minimize shortages and waste.
• Provide clinical consultations to patients and healthcare providers, promoting wellness programs and immunizations.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DEA, and all pharmacy board requirements through audits and staff training.
• Collaborate with store management to achieve sales goals, implement merchandising strategies, and enhance customer experience.
• Handle insurance claims processing, third-party reimbursements, and billing to maximize profitability.
• Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and foster loyalty through exceptional service.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must hold a valid Pharmacist license in Kentucky and possess strong leadership abilities. Experience in retail pharmacy settings is essential for success in this role.
