Job Overview

The Pharmacy/Certified Technician at Kroger plays a vital role in supporting pharmacy operations within our retail stores. This position involves assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, managing inventory, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure a safe and efficient pharmacy experience for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Prepare and label medications, including counting tablets and measuring liquids.
• Handle customer inquiries, process insurance claims, and maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Manage pharmacy inventory by receiving, stocking, and ordering supplies to prevent shortages.
• Assist in maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy workspace, adhering to all health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates must hold a valid Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) from PTCB or ExCPT. Previous experience in a retail pharmacy setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, and proficiency with pharmacy management software are essential. Excellent communication skills are required to interact with diverse customers and healthcare professionals.
