Job Overview

The Privacy Compliance Governance Lead at Kroger plays a critical role in ensuring the organization's adherence to privacy laws and regulations across all operations. As part of the Ethics & Compliance team, this leader will develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive privacy governance frameworks to protect customer data, employee information, and corporate assets in a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and maintenance of privacy policies, standards, and procedures aligned with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses to identify and mitigate privacy compliance risks.
• Collaborate with legal, IT, and business units to integrate privacy by design into new products, services, and processes.
• Provide training and awareness programs to employees on privacy best practices and compliance requirements.
• Monitor regulatory changes and advise senior leadership on emerging privacy trends and impacts to Kroger's operations.
• Manage incident response for privacy breaches, including investigations, reporting, and remediation.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates must possess a strong background in privacy compliance, with proven experience in governance leadership. Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills are essential. Knowledge of retail data handling and cybersecurity principles is highly preferred.
