The Sr. Maintenance Center of Excellence (COE) Manager at Kroger plays a pivotal role in overseeing the strategic maintenance operations across our nationwide network of retail stores, distribution centers, and manufacturing facilities. This senior-level position is responsible for developing and implementing best-in-class maintenance programs that ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and optimize operational efficiency. Reporting to the Director of Facilities Maintenance, you will lead a team of maintenance experts and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of maintenance strategies aligned with Kroger's operational goals.
• Manage the COE team, providing mentorship, performance evaluations, and professional development opportunities.
• Implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) to reduce costs and improve asset lifespan.
• Analyze maintenance data and KPIs to identify trends, root causes of failures, and opportunities for process optimization.
• Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and operations teams to standardize parts inventory and vendor management.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory standards in all maintenance activities.
• Drive innovation through adoption of IoT, AI-driven diagnostics, and advanced technologies in maintenance practices.
• Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance operations, targeting cost savings and ROI on capital investments.

Qualifications and Skills

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial maintenance, with proven leadership in multi-site operations. A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field is required; CMRP or CPMM certification is highly preferred. Strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analytics tools, and experience with lean six sigma methodologies are essential.
