Job Overview

As a Starbucks Barista at Kroger, you will be the face of our Starbucks coffeehouse located within our grocery stores. You will craft high-quality beverages, provide exceptional customer service, and maintain a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. Kroger partners with Starbucks to bring premium coffee experiences to our communities, and as a Barista, you will play a key role in delivering that signature Starbucks hospitality while supporting store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, teas, and refreshers, following Starbucks recipes and standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area, including equipment sanitation and stock replenishment.
• Handle cash transactions, operate POS systems, and ensure accurate cash handling procedures.
• Collaborate with store team members to support overall store goals and peak-hour rushes.

Skills and Qualifications

Ideal candidates are energetic, customer-focused individuals with a passion for coffee and teamwork. Previous barista experience is preferred but not required; we provide comprehensive training on Starbucks procedures. Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment are essential. You must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.
