The Store/Lead Receiver plays a critical role in Kroger's supply chain operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt, inspection, and distribution of merchandise in our retail stores. As a leader in this position, you will oversee the receiving team, manage inventory processes, and maintain compliance with company standards and safety regulations. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the daily receiving operations, including unloading deliveries from trucks and verifying shipment accuracy against purchase orders.
• Inspect incoming goods for damage, quality issues, or discrepancies, and report findings to management.
• Organize and stock received items in designated storage areas, rotating stock to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Train and supervise associate receivers, providing guidance on proper procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using Kroger's inventory management systems, conducting regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with store departments to distribute received merchandise promptly and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling of perishable items.
• Resolve discrepancies with vendors and transportation companies to facilitate timely resolutions.

Qualifications and Skills

Candidates should have prior experience in warehouse or receiving operations, preferably in retail. Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory software is essential. Physical stamina is required for lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Leadership experience is a plus.
