Key Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with merchandise from pallets, ensuring products are placed correctly and facing forward for optimal presentation.
• Organize backroom inventory, rotate stock to maintain freshness, and remove outdated items.
• Clean and sanitize store areas, including floors, shelves, and checkout stations to meet health and safety standards.
• Assist with receiving shipments, unloading trucks, and verifying deliveries against invoices.
• Build and set up displays, end caps, and promotional setups to drive sales.
• Operate equipment such as pallet jacks, ladders, and balers safely.
• Support morning transitions by preparing the store for opening, including restocking high-demand items.

Skills and Qualifications

Candidates should possess physical stamina for lifting up to 50 lbs, basic math skills for inventory counts, and a strong work ethic. Previous retail or stocking experience is preferred. Night Clerks must be reliable for overnight shifts, typically 10 PM to 7 AM, and available weekends. Kroger provides training for all necessary tools and procedures.
