About the role

L3Harris Australia excels as a prime defence contractor, providing integrated tech solutions for over four decades. Specialising in technology that connects and shapes operations spanning multiple domains: space, air, land, sea, cyber and first responders. The purpose of the role is to maintain the integrity, control, and traceability of engineering configurations throughout the product lifecycle. This includes ensuring all changes are properly assessed, documented, and compliant with our standards, while also providing advice and guidance to stakeholders across the business on configuration and change management best practices.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

• Collaborate with the Configuration Manager to maintain the L3Harris SASA Configuration Management (CM) System.
• Develop and maintain the L3Harris SASA CM Manual and related processes within the Engineering Management System (EMS).
• Create and update project-specific CM Plans to ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Prepare Configuration Management deliverables and provide regular progress reports for assigned projects.
• Estimate CM support effort and costs for new project opportunities.
• Contribute to ongoing improvements of the L3Harris SASA Product Lifecycle Management Tool (PLMT), ARAS Innovator.
• Participate in Integrated Project Team meetings, collaborating with Engineering, Operations, Suppliers, Finance, and Customers.
• Support the preparation of project management documentation and reports, including weekly, monthly, and customer reports, as well as visual management tools in line with business processes.

What you’ll bring

The role requires the following experience and skills:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in configuration control of complex projects.
• Demonstrated experience in working with contemporary PLMT/s.
• Demonstrated experience of working in ASDEFCON projects involving engineering design.
• Demonstrated competence in written and verbal communication.
• Configuration Management qualifications (CMTF Level 3, CMII PRO or equivalent).
• Experience working with ARAS Innovator PLMT.
