We’re looking for an experienced Network & Security Engineer who can design, implement, and operate the network and security estate here at L3Harris. You’ll bring experience, drive, enthusiasm, and a passion for technology.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Operate within an Agile environment
  • Provide technical leadership within a collaborative team
  • Contribute to the wider team to design, implement and operate secure networking capabilities
  • Proactively maintain the network and security hardware, applications, and services
  • Respond to incidents, requests and troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues
  • Implement planned Change across all the devices and services under the management of the team
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during major incidents as required
  • High degree of documentation skills, for creating and maintaining design and operational documentation, Change documentation, Runbooks, Test plans and any other operational documentation as required
  • Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines
  • Participate in the team on-call rota

What you’ll bring 

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • Strong knowledge of all round infrastructure technologies
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to respond to shifting priorities, and to work efficiently under pressure
  • Significant experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama in a global environment
  • Hold a PCNSE or PCCSE certification or equivalent in experience
  • Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent experience.
  • High level of understanding and experience with OSPF and BGP
  • Micro-segmentation principles and technologies
  • Zero Trust principles
  • Experience with Wireshark or other packet capture tools to analyze traffic
  • Significant experience troubleshooting voice and video network traffic
  • Experience with M&A activities across network and security services
  • Experience of Clearpass and/or other NAC solutions
  • Experience with multiple connectivity technologies including DIA, MPLS and DWDM
  • Experience with wireless technologies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Passionate in creating a collaborative, caring and safe environment for all teammates to succeed
