Job Description:

Are you a driven and highly skilled software engineer looking to make an impact in advanced radio communications? L3Harris Technologies is seeking dedicated professionals to join our dynamic team. We are in need of an embedded software engineer who can support the networking subsystem to include implementing network protocols, analyzing defects using network monitoring tools, and supporting test organizations in configuring test scenarios. As part of our team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge software solutions that are pivotal to mission-critical operations. You will be innovating with real-time embedded systems for network-enabled radios. Essential Functions:

  • Design and development of embedded software and platforms for next generation tactical radios.
  • Consult with cross-functional engineering groups to evaluate operational requirements and define software goals for implementation.
  • Prepare technical work estimates and provide input to project planning.
  • Provide guidance, assistance and mentorship to other engineers.
  • Participate in Agile Scrum activities including the decomposition of complex tasks for Sprint Planning.
  • Experience with TCP/IP, UDP/IP, socket development and Ethernet based networking capabilities on embedded Linux systems.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of C/C++programming language and Object Oriented Analysis and Design
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Deep experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded systems design.
  • Proficiency with C/C++ programming language and Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOA/OOD)
