About the role

L3Harris Communication Systems is a world leader in ground tactical and airborne mission communication solutions and a global provider of ground based C4 systems and transportable SATCOM terminals. We are focused on delivering advanced systems to meet the needs of our customers, uniting multiple forms of communication together, and covering communication over air, ground, sea, and space.

The Warehouse Officer plays a key role in managing the receipting, inventory control, and dispatch of Night Fighting Equipment. This position uses both L3Harris internal systems and applications, as well as the Defence SAP ERP system, to ensure efficient and accurate processing of all warehouse activities.

The Warehouse Officer is also responsible for maintaining the integrity of the warehouse, ensuring proper storage, preservation of materials, and the accuracy of all related records.

What the role will involve

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations supporting NFE sustainment and inventory requirements.
  • Ensure accurate recording, handling, and quality control of stock and related documentation.
  • Maintain and update inventory systems, including the Defence SAP ERP system.
  • Operate forklifts and lift trucks safely as required.
  • Prepare routine reports on warehouse performance, including kitting output, quality issues, and WIP movements.
  • Apply Lean principles to improve efficiency, cost, and profitability.
  • Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Manage receipt, unloading, and verification of incoming goods and notify relevant personnel.
  • Process goods receipts in SAP and reconcile discrepancies with Purchasing and Accounts Payable.
  • Package, label, and dispatch goods per customer and project requirements.
  • Book and track freight shipments through to delivery.
  • Conduct regular stock-takes and support investigations into inventory discrepancies

What you’ll bring 

The role requires the following experience and skills:

  • 2-5 years Stores and Logistics experience or experience within a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift ticket (High Risk Work Licence),
  • Previous experience with freight bookings and tracking,
  • Knowledge of / experience with Defence SAP ERP System and/or legacy MILIS systems,
  • Intermediate computer skills, including MS Office and MILIS
