Role Overview

The Large Format Sales District Leader (SDL) at PepsiCo in Lithonia, Georgia, is a pivotal leadership role within the North America Beverage organization. This position oversees execution and customer relationships for large format accounts, including supermarkets and mass merchants, in a fast-paced direct store delivery (DSD) environment. Reporting to the Territory Sales Leader, you will directly manage a team of full-time Merchandisers and provide influential guidance to Large Format Presell Representatives and Territory Sales Representatives via dotted-line reporting. Your focus will be on superior marketplace execution, share growth, profit performance, and exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities

As Large Format Sales District Leader, your day-to-day impact includes:

  • Serving as an Executional Leader for large format pods, providing sales and service support to the Territory Sales Leader.
  • Coaching and leading full-time merchandisers on selling techniques, display execution, and merchandising standards.
  • Owning large format customer relationships, identifying risks, and supporting business development through pitch strategies.
  • Assigning merchandisers to consistent high-volume accounts, adjusting for coverage, and conducting work-withs/route rides to build skills.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) like volume, waste targets, productivity, and compliance through audits and huddles.
  • Supervising daily operations, delegating tasks, setting targets, and collaborating with sales teams for strategy execution.

Leadership and Development

You will interview, onboard, train, and provide ongoing feedback to merchandisers, fostering a high-performance culture. By briefing teams on goals and applying merchandising principles, you'll drive productivity and preempt customer issues with contingency planning.
