Role Overview

The Lead Business Planner, SEA&I role is a strategic leadership position within Nike's Sales Planning team. Based in Selangor, Malaysia, you'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders across country teams and SEA&I HQ. Collaborate with Assortment Planning, Marketplace Business Unit, Product Merchandising, Finance, Enterprise Business Planning, Brand, and Marketing to achieve revenue, margin, market share, and inventory productivity goals. Key Responsibilities

In this pivotal role, you'll lead end-to-end planning processes to maximize consumer demand and business performance.

• Develop seasonal stocks and sales plan (SSP) forecasts, Open to Buy (OTB), and inventory plans based on Nike's overarching strategy, in collaboration with cross-functional teams and retailers.
• Track and review seasonal forecasts on a bi-weekly or monthly basis, developing actionable recommendations to proactively maximize opportunities, minimize risks, drive consumer demand, optimize margins, and ensure marketplace inventory health.
• Reflect insights from reviews into monthly forecast share-outs and submissions, demonstrating a deep understanding of enterprise-wide impacts.
• Lead forecasting and performance tracking for pre-season, in-season, and post-season across retail sales, wholesale sales, margins, and inventory metrics.
• Champion and drive selected projects, assignments, and deliverables within the Business Planning community, both in Sales Planning and the broader SEAI Planning Team.

Strategic Impact

Your work will form top-down financial targets and inputs for bottom-up assortment planning, SKU frameworks by sports and franchise, guiding retailer buy plans and fueling Nike's growth in SEA&I.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, plus minimum 8 years of relevant experience in merchandise buying, business planning, or demand/supply planning.
• Comprehensive understanding of retail metrics, including sell-in, sell-through, financial data analysis, Stock and Sales Plans (SSP), Open to Buy (OTB), and KPI management.
• Strong business acumen to interpret data, make recommendations, negotiate, and influence decisions driving profitable, sustainable growth.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (spreadsheets, complex formulas, pivot tables); experience with planning software and merchandise management systems preferred.
