As Lead Designer, GFB Innovation Footwear Product Design, you'll join the NXT Global team, spearheading the future of Global Football NXT Footwear. This role demands a passion for footwear design, teamwork, and the evolving game and culture of football. Based in Beaverton, Oregon, you'll create visionary designs that push performance boundaries while serving dedicated athletes worldwide. Ideal for future-thinkers ready to set project visions and collaborate across Nike's sports portfolios.
Your daily impact includes building innovative footwear that advances product performance and aesthetics for targeted consumers. You'll oversee execution of critical details like construction, form, color, materials, style, fit, and performance. Actively contribute authoritative recommendations on testing, manufacturability, sustainability, and aesthetic finishes to ensure designs are feasible and forward-thinking.
Collaborate closely with the Global Football Senior Design Director, Engineers, Innovators, and cross-functional teams. Flexibility to support other fields like Basketball, Running, or Training is essential. From innovation launch briefs to presenting concepts to internal and external stakeholders, you'll foster community and drive collective success.
To excel, bring a Bachelor's Degree in product design or a suitable combination of education, experience, and training. 5-7 years of experience designing and developing innovative footwear products is required, with prior footwear design expertise mandatory. Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator is essential; experience with 3D design programs is a strong plus. Master skills in sketching, cobbling, 3D tools, technical drawings for factories, shoe-making methods, and consumer-focused problem-solving.
