Role Overview

As Lead Designer for Running & ACG Innovation Footwear Product Design, you'll spearhead the future of Nike's Running and All Conditions Gear (ACG) lines. Key Responsibilities

In this leadership role, you'll balance independent creativity with team collaboration to deliver next-generation footwear:

• Partner closely with the Running & ACG Innovation Senior Design Director and cross-functional experts to ideate and develop products.
• Engage directly with athletes to gather insights and obsess over their performance needs.
• Generate broad ranges of concepts through sketching, illustration, rendering, and digital tools.
• Build precise 2D technical drawings (tech packs) and leverage 3D software for prototyping.
• Experiment with cutting-edge materials, manufacturing processes, and pioneering methods.
• Lead partnerships across Design, Marketing, Engineering, Development, and beyond.
• Foster a positive, energetic creative environment while simplifying complex problems.

Qualifications & Requirements

Nike seeks a curious, adaptable leader with proven expertise in footwear innovation:

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or related field (or equivalent education, experience, training).
• 5-7 years of relevant work in designing and developing innovative footwear and products.
• Required prior footwear design experience.
• Proficiency in Adobe CC; comfort in digital spaces; 3D skills (Gravity Sketch, Rhino, Blender) a plus.
• Strong sketching, illustration, rendering, cobbling, and prototyping abilities.
• Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials.
• Ability to translate consumer insights into compelling product narratives.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: advocate ideas, speak courageously, embrace feedback, and build teams.
• Bonus: Prior knowledge of running or ACG categories.
