The Lead - Maintenance Reliability & Manufacturing Excellence role at PepsiCo in Gurugram, Haryana, is a pivotal position within the Supply Chain Operations team. This role focuses on spearheading the Asset Care Program, advancing the Manufacturing Excellence agenda, and building capabilities across manufacturing operations. Reporting to senior leadership, you will partner closely with plant teams, regional M&R leads, and cross-functional stakeholders to enhance performance, productivity, and reliability. Key areas include TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) as a Center of Excellence, scorecard development, spare inventory optimization, and driving Lean Six Sigma (LSS) initiatives. This is an opportunity to lead transformative projects in a dynamic foods business unit (BU Foods), contributing to operational excellence and cost optimization in India's fast-paced FMCG landscape.
Prepare master plans for Maintenance & Reliability (M&R) performance, conduct monthly KPI reviews on metrics like Downtime, MTBF, MTTR, Red Tag, and RCA actions. Develop R&M spend dashboards for cost optimization and lead OU (Operational Unit) monthly M&R sector calls. Facilitate prudent spare inventory management in coordination with Plant Engineering Managers.
Promote Operator-Driven Stability (ODS) discipline, track key KPIs, conduct M&W (Maintenance & Work) health checks, and report gaps to plants. Drive productivity linked to M&R and operating efficiency through LSS capability development, partnering with MOS (Manufacturing Operations Support) teams and OU LSS leads in deep dives.
Coordinate TPM master plans, KPM-KPI-KAI step clearances, and consolidate yearly audit reports. Establish monthly TPM reviews, promote engaged culture, and share best practice tools with region leads. Zoom in on circle targets to improve operating and material efficiencies.
Support SET (Skills Enhancement Training) School coordination at OU level, drive IPS (Internal Process Standards) score improvements via action compliance reviews, and consolidate capability needs from cross-OU audits.
Develop as a Lean PeMM (Performance Excellence Maturity Model) assessor, create PeMM scorecards, and enable horizontal replication of best practices. Lead productivity projects, low-cost automation, digitization, process standardization like Engg Spare Taxonomy, and contribute to AOP (Annual Operating Plan) exercises on time.
To succeed in this role, candidates need a Degree in Engineering or Food Technology with 7+ years of Supply Chain experience, ideally in Foods, Beverages, or FMCG sectors focusing on Maintenance, Reliability, or Manufacturing. Proven expertise in implementing Manufacturing Excellence tools like TPM is essential, along with working knowledge of SAP and Engineering Spares Management. Experience leading change initiatives and project management is required. Strong communication, analytical, facilitation, planning, collaboration, and influencing skills are critical, complemented by proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel.
