Role Overview

As Lead Tech, Ops Maintenance at Cardinal Health's Fort Worth location, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining our fully automated warehouse operations. This full-time position operates Monday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with overtime as needed. You'll ensure the operational readiness of advanced ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), including AutoStore robots, SLAM lines, and PSI equipment. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will focus on maximizing equipment uptime and asset value through proactive maintenance strategies:

  • Oversee and maintain operational readiness of AutoStore (AS) and SLAM systems at fully automated locations.
  • Manage inventory, accounting, and ordering of repair parts for AS and SLAM to minimize downtime.
  • Protect Cardinal Health's assets by ensuring ASRS, supply line distribution equipment, and PSI systems perform optimally.
  • Implement reliability-based maintenance, execute inspections, and define best practices to enhance mechanical uptime.
  • Monitor ASRS equipment operations—robots, conveyors, electrical systems—review logs, and report issues promptly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks per manufacturing standards using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Oversee repairs and PM schedules in line with manufacturer recommendations, standards, and warranty compliance.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of tools and supplies for ASRS and associated automation.
  • Supervise contractors during operational demonstrations, repairs, or training within the ASRS and SLAM environments.

Qualifications & Requirements

To excel in this role, candidates should demonstrate technical expertise and leadership in industrial maintenance:

  • 4+ years of experience with commercial operating systems and general maintenance procedures (preferred).
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
  • 2+ years of work order management experience (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic principles, and industrial electronics.
  • Ability to complete training as PSI SLAM Line and Swisslog Super User, including manual robot/bin movement, grid rescues, and Autostore portal diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in repairs/adjustments via Autostore portal, opening tickets with PSI/Swisslog helpdesk, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Java, Microsoft tools, and C++ (preferred).
  • High familiarity with Autostore Console (ASC) (preferred).
