Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor Value Management Engineers to meet business objectives and performance standards.
• Identify design changes reducing costs and complexity; present savings plans for approval.
• Oversee project portfolios from intake to implementation via Phase-Gate processes.
• Lead risk assessments, gate reviews, design verification, and validation.
• Facilitate cost-reduction brainstorming, teardowns, and supplier workshops.
• Build idea pipelines using Should Cost Modeling, data analytics, and new manufacturing tech.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations for strategic focus.
• Report performance trends to Senior Leadership.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) + 5+ years product design experience.
• Proven leadership with facilitation, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Expertise in quality systems, plumbing codes, test methods, PPAP, GD&T, DFMEA.
• Technical project management; experience with SmartSheet, PowerBI (SAP preferred).
• Strong problem-solving, adaptability, and cross-departmental collaboration.
