Position Summary

The Lease Operator (I, II, III, or Sr) role at Williams in Wamsutter, Wyoming, is perfect for skilled professionals passionate about oil and gas operations. Key Responsibilities

As a Lease Operator, your day-to-day duties will keep production running smoothly while prioritizing safety and efficiency:

  • Conduct production tests and perform routine repairs on wells and equipment.
  • Complete operational checks of assigned wells/equipment, identifying and reporting performance changes.
  • Perform minor maintenance to ensure all systems operate optimally.
  • Gauge tanks, prepare production for sale, and manage fluid inventory on facilities.
  • Light gas-fired vessels and emission control devices as needed.
  • Conduct environmental audits and Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) assessments for field operations, buildings, facilities, tools, and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned to support team and operational goals.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

This role demands physical readiness: work in extreme temperatures, loud noises, and enclosed spaces; carry/lift up to 50 lbs individually or team lift heavier loads; stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat for extended periods; operate at elevated heights with PPE; and use hand tools proficiently.

Shift and Travel Expectations

Be available for after-hours, on-call, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime (10-12 hour shifts), and occasional travel with overnight stays between Williams locations.

Lease Operator I

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum 6 months as operations technician or similar.
  • Preferred: Associates or two-year technical degree.

Lease Operator II

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum 2 years experience.
  • Preferred: Associates or technical degree.

Lease Operator III

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Preferred: Associates or technical degree.

Lease Operator Sr

  • High School Diploma/GED and minimum 6 years experience.

  • Valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record.
