Role Overview

The Legal Operations Specialist role in Pune, India, is a pivotal position within CrowdStrike's Legal Operations team, driving operational excellence across the legal department. This hybrid position (5pm - 2am shift) supports core functions like eBilling, financial management, vendor operations, and legal technology. You'll manage platforms like SimpleLegal, coordinate billing and budgeting with stakeholders, and optimize legal vendor relationships. Ideal for proactive, organized professionals blending operational expertise with financial insight in a fast-paced, global environment.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you'll wear multiple hats to ensure seamless legal operations. Key responsibilities include serving as the day-to-day administrator for the eBilling system (SimpleLegal), overseeing matter management, user access, billing workflows, and documentation standards. Act as the primary contact for outside counsel billing, managing invoice reviews, payment inquiries, and compliance across practice areas. Support monthly accruals, budget forecasting, and partner with Finance for accurate legal spend transparency. Maintain forecast trackers, dashboards, and reports for effective budget management. Oversee renewals and lifecycles of legal tools, contracts, and memberships for cost-effectiveness. Manage vendor onboarding, enforce billing guidelines, and track performance. Collaborate with IT and Procurement for system integrations. Identify process improvements via automation and contribute to AI-driven initiatives. Assist with legal records management and troubleshoot platform issues.

Qualifications & Requirements

To succeed, you'll need a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Legal Studies, or a related field, plus 5+ years of experience in legal operations, billing/vendor management, or professional services operations. A strong background in financial tracking, budget forecasting, and cost optimization in legal contexts is essential. Hands-on experience with eBilling systems like SimpleLegal, Legal Tracker, or similar is required. Proven ability to juggle priorities in dynamic settings, excellent communication and relationship skills, analytical rigor, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset for change and improvements are key. Bonus points for global legal ops experience, AI tools familiarity, or procurement knowledge.
