As a 2nd Line Engineer, you'll conduct advanced fault rectification, support problem management, continual service improvement (CSI), and change requests (CRs) across highly utilised infrastructure with varying security levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain servers and virtual machines for optimal performance and availability, including deployment of new equipment.
- Resolve complex SD+ incidents within strict SLA/KPI timelines through expert troubleshooting.
- Execute patching across domains using WSUS and SCCM for Microsoft and security updates.
- Perform periodic preventative maintenance (PPM) and accurately document all activities.
- Liaise with customers, 3rd line teams, and apps teams to ensure seamless issue resolution.
- Implement security best practices, respond to incidents, and contribute to infrastructure projects including build and testing.
Required Skills and Competencies
Demonstrate technical expertise in troubleshooting diverse issues, strong attention to detail, and customer service excellence. Key competencies include adaptability, effective communication (verbal, written, technical documentation), teamwork, and building relationships in high-stakes environments. DV (Developed Vetting) clearance is essential.

45,000 - 55,000 GBP / yearly
