Join Leidos' Defense Systems Team as a 2nd Shift PCBA/SMT X-Ray Technician

Our Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing team in Huntsville, AL, produces high-reliability Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) for land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace missions. We're seeking a skilled 2nd Shift PCBA/Surface Mount Technology X-Ray Technician to ensure our assemblies meet IPC Class 3 standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct X-Ray inspections of surface mount and through-hole components on PCBAs to IPC Class 3 criteria.
• Perform precise hand solder rework and touch-up under microscope.
• Interpret technical drawings and adhere to detailed work instructions.
• Operate independently with limited supervision while contributing to team goals.
• Collaborate across functions, project teams, and production groups to drive output.

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 3-5 years of Surface Mount Technology or electronics assembly experience.
• Strong knowledge of SMT processes for PCBA production.
• Proficiency in reading drawings and following instructions.
• US Citizenship and eligibility for Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• IPC-A-610 certification.
• J-STD-001 certification.
• Hands-on experience with X-Ray PCBA inspection.
