Join Leidos as an AEGIS SPY Radar Subject Matter Expert

Leidos seeks a Full-time Experienced AEGIS SPY Radar Subject Matter Expert and Tactical/Technical Trainer to elevate Combat Systems training and readiness at our Combat Systems Engineering Development Site (CSEDS) in Moorestown, NJ. Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, organize, and deliver AEGIS classroom and tactical lab training for International/Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.
  • Serve as resident AEGIS SPY Radar SME, training Sailors on tactical and operational employment of AEGIS combat and weapons systems.
  • Analyze Aegis Combat System engineering capabilities/limitations and US Navy operational/tactical doctrine.
  • Conceptualize doctrine execution, optimizing ship's Combat Systems in dynamic tactical scenarios via shore-based training systems.
  • Lead dynamic training/assessment of watchstanders during integrated scenarios and develop evaluation criteria.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years US Navy surface warfare combat systems/platform experience (carriers, DDGs, CGs, LCS, amphibious ships, or land-based test sites).
  • Operator Supervisor or Maintenance Technician experience desired.
  • US Citizenship with Active Secret Security Clearance required.
  • Exceptional technical writing, oral presentations, organizational skills, and multitasking.
  • Deep knowledge of US Navy combatants, weapon systems, threats, and system architecture (logical, functional, hardware, software).
  • 2+ years Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

  • B.S./Advanced Degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in Navy vessel training/readiness, surface/air warfare simulation.
  • Aegis SPY Radar Technician background.
  • NECs: V03C, V04A, V13A, V16A, V43A, V46A, V53A, V58A, V66A, V70A, V71A, V73A.
  • Master Training Specialist qualification.
