Join Leidos as an Aeronautical Information Analyst in Fort Worth, TX

Leidos' National Airspace Systems Integration Support (NISC) program seeks a skilled Aeronautical Information Analyst to support FAA Central Service Area (CSA) in Terminal Instrument Procedures development. Based in Fort Worth, Texas, this role delivers exceptional service to FAA customers while advancing aviation safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support FAA Flight Procedures and AVN Production Integration Teams via review/analysis of Terminal Instrument Approach procedures.
  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain procedures, porting data from Transmittal Letters, Digital Terminal Procedure Publications, FAA sites, and specialist inputs to databases on cyclic schedules.
  • Evaluate Non-Rulemaking Airport (NRA) cases for impacts from airport alterations, NAVAID outages, and airspace revisions on instrument procedures.
  • Review National Flight Data Digest to identify NOTAM needs or amendments to published procedures; develop, process, track, and cancel NOTAMs timely.
  • Provide expert analysis and feasibility studies for LP, LPV, RNP approaches with detailed reports and recommendations.
  • Contribute to policies and best practices for optimal operations.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS + 8-12 years or Masters + 6-10 years relevant experience.
  • 10+ years in FAA Terminal Procedure/Airspace development (e.g., FAA ATC, Military procedures, Commercial/Private Pilot).
  • Strong research, evaluation, study, and recommendation skills for FAA customers.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with FAA Orders/Directives on Terminal Instrument Procedures.
  • Experience with APOS software for procedure tracking and AIS interface.
