Job Description

Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Manager

Join Leidos' Defense Group in Bridgewater, VA, and turn technical challenges into mission success. As GSE Maintenance Manager, you'll ensure flight readiness through hands-on expertise with powered and non-powered aviation equipment, bridging operations, aircraft maintenance, and PME teams.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive preventive, routine, periodic, repair, and overhaul maintenance on GSE and non-aviation equipment per OEM manuals and standards.
  • Assure safety and serviceability of all aviation ground support equipment.
  • Manage maintenance records, tracking inspections, repairs, and historical data.
  • Enter accurate data into maintenance forms and Sprocket systems.
  • Maintain tool accountability with FOD prevention processes; handle fuels, oils, lubricants, and cleaners.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma + 2 years experience (or 3 years without degree).
  • Mechanical expertise: engine repair (diesel/gas/LP), A/C-DC electrical, hydraulics, schematics reading.
  • Basic computer skills; Active DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Military technical school, vocational GSE training, generator knowledge.

Key Requirements

International deployments (90/90 rotation), flexible hours, austere environments, physical demands (50lb lift, 40ft heights), PPE use in noisy/dirty settings. U.S. passport required.
