Leidos Aviation Maintenance and Sustainment (AMS) Division seeks skilled A&P Mechanics for our El Paso, TX facility. Maintain cutting-edge aircraft per OEM specs and FAA regs in dynamic environments—from hangars to inclement weather exposure. Tackle high-noise, fume-heavy zones with electrical hazards. Primary Responsibilities
- Safely operate in hangars and aircraft movement areas.
- Interpret schematics, drawings, charts, and technical instructions.
- Execute daily pre/post-flight inspections and system servicing (fuel/oil/hydraulic/oxygen/nitrogen).
- Handle scheduled/unscheduled maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Rig engines, propellers, flight controls, and landing gear.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and avionics systems for effective solutions.
- Document work in forms/electronic systems and certify with signature.
- Maintain aircraft cleanliness and submit required reports.
- Adhere to 'clean as you go' and all safety rules.
- Adapt to adjusted schedules (e.g., Wed-Sun) and complete training promptly.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma + 3-5 years relevant experience.
- US Citizen; valid FAA A&P cert; US driver's license.
- English fluency; pass DoT drug test; eligible for DoD Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bombardier Global series or similar aircraft experience.
- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher.
