Join Leidos as an Application Developer in Odenton, MD

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector seeks a skilled Application Developer for the GSM-O II contract supporting DISA's Defense Information Systems Network (DISN) within the DODIN. This critical role ensures operational reliability, innovation, and transformation for DISA's mission partners. Daily on-site presence required at Ft. Meade, MD.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Independently monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ENET issues across environments for maximum uptime.
  • Lead AWS cloud migrations for ENET infrastructure and applications.
  • Manage project lifecycles, supervising diverse teams and deploying hardware/software.
  • Perform security scans, STIG implementations, and compliance testing with DISA standards.
  • Develop SOPs, guides, and diagrams; mitigate risks; collaborate with stakeholders and vendors.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship, active DoD Secret clearance, DOD 8570 IAT II+ (e.g., Security+).
  • Bachelor’s +8-12 years or Master’s +6-10 years experience; ability to commute to Ft. Meade or Scott AFB.
  • Expertise in Ansible/Python/PowerShell, Linux (Alma/Ubuntu), VMware, AWS GovCloud, CI/CD (Jenkins/OpenShift).
  • Proven leadership, data center hands-on, cloud architectures, and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve ENET system issues for high availability
  • Lead ENET infrastructure and applications migration to AWS cloud
  • Manage full project lifecycle including team supervision and customer deployment
  • Conduct security scans, STIG implementation, and DISA compliance testing
  • Create SOPs, installation guides, and architecture diagrams
  • Interact with vendors for hardware/software evaluation and recommendations
  • Report, monitor, and mitigate technical risks independently
  • Collaborate with clients, teams, and leadership on project objectives
