Leidos seeks experienced Arabic Translators fluent in Tunisian, Libyan, or Algerian dialects plus French to support critical National Security Programs. Perform full-spectrum linguistic tasks including translation, interpretation, transcription, and gisting for high-stakes missions. We sponsor clearances—no prior clearance required to apply.
Core Responsibilities
- Translation: Deliver precise translations of complex texts with abstract language, geopolitical nuances, and cultural context, adhering to target language norms.
- Interpretation: Provide accurate consecutive interpretation (rare simultaneous), demonstrating strong regional dialect comprehension.
- Transcription: Transcribe audio/internet sources with exceptional accuracy; produce reports with superior English writing skills.
- Gisting/Summarization: Extract and summarize key facts and concepts; triage documents; leverage MS Office, references, and web research for briefings.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BA/BS or military training + 2-15+ years experience.
- Pass Leidos-administered English/Arabic tests.
- TS/SCI with polygraph (sponsored post-testing/training).
- Must attend and pass all sponsor training.
Desired Skills
- Deployment experience in contingency operations.
- IC, military, cryptologic, or law enforcement background.
- Multi-language proficiency.
- OCONUS travel readiness (24/7 support required).
