Join Leidos Digital Modernization Sector as an Architecture Network Engineer

Leidos is seeking a skilled Architecture Network Engineer (CAN/LAN) in Chantilly, VA, to drive the complete replacement of a global enterprise network. This role supports mission-critical operations by designing, engineering, and transitioning to a modern service provider architecture. Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer requirements into documented designs including diagrams, bills of materials, cabling, and configurations.
  • Leverage private test labs for technology evaluation, change testing, and troubleshooting replication.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows for seamless user migrations with minimal impact on data flows.
  • Deliver expert support to operations teams for fault isolation using scalable, innovative solutions.
  • Engineer secure networks compliant with DISA STIGs and enterprise policies, securing ATO for new capabilities.
  • Supervise network specialists in service planning, coordination, and deployment.
  • Enhance team processes, design products, and systems for maximum efficiency.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • 10 years combined experience/education in network engineering.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.
  • Proven Tier III+ experience with Cisco, Brocade, Juniper hardware configs.
  • Hands-on OSPF/BGP routing and VLAN/802.1q/port-channel switching in production.

Desired Skills

  • CAN/LAN design and MPLS WAN expertise.
  • CCNP or equivalent; extensive BGP knowledge.
  • Proven initiative in unsupervised process development and documentation.
