Leidos is seeking a skilled Assembly, Integration & Test Technician to support cutting-edge rocket assembly for NASA programs. Primary Responsibilities

  • Assemble components into rocket structures using mechanical fit-up, hand drilling, and fasteners per NASA standards.
  • Perform precision measurements with Leica laser trackers, calipers, and Spatial Analyzer software.
  • Apply touch-up paint and stencils using specialized equipment.
  • Assist in composite process development, production planning, and quality assurance.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specs, and 3D models.
  • Maintain inventories, complete documentation, and communicate production issues.
  • Work safely at heights up to 40 feet on lifts and platforms, lifting up to 50 lbs.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED with 5+ years of experience.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, GD&T, and AS9102 inspections.
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word) and hand tool experience.
  • Physical ability to climb, lift, and work in team environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • AS9100 aerospace experience and composite layups/repairs.
  • Leica AT960/AT403/ATS600 operation with Spatial Analyzer.
  • Prior Aerospace & Defense manufacturing background.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical assembly of components into rocket structures per NASA standards
  • Conduct fit-up, hand drilling, and fastener installation using jigs and templates
  • Measure parts using laser trackers, calipers, and Spatial Analyzer software
  • Apply touch-up and stencil paint with hand-held equipment
  • Assist in composite process development and production planning
  • Maintain inventories, complete planning paperwork, and monitor quality
  • Communicate issues to supervisors and ensure compliance with procedures
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Work independently or in teams on lifts and platforms
