Join Leidos as an Atlas Software Developer in Silver Spring, MD
Leidos is seeking a skilled ESRI developer for the ATLAS Team to deliver high-quality software driving business value. Collaborate with product owners, developers, and test engineers in a fast-paced environment. Independently develop, code, modify, test, and debug complex applications using established design patterns and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create feature classes and publish on ArcGIS Server
- Work with business users to develop acceptance tests ensuring customer requirements
- Drive process improvements and apply best practices/patterns
- Manage Oracle/SQL database tasks and create technical documentation
- Analyze system logic, define objectives, and recommend policy/procedure changes
- Coach software engineers and collaborate on innovative products
- Own services at scale, make rapid decisions, and stay composed in crises
Basic Qualifications
- BS + 5 years or Master’s + 3 years relevant experience (substitutable)
- Full lifecycle .NET, full stack, SOAP Web Services expertise
- ArcGIS Pro/Server, Python, C#, REST, Enterprise Geodatabase experience
- Agile/CI/CD proficiency; Git/JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket
- Relational DB (Oracle/SQL Server); multi-OS (Windows/Linux/Unix)
- U.S. Citizen/Permanent Resident (3+ years U.S. residency); Public Trust eligible
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in ESRI Development. Excellent communication, independent task completion, and multi-disciplinary teamwork required. Passion for open-source technologies a plus.
