Leidos seeks a dynamic Business Development Manager for its National Security and Defence Division, based in Farnborough or Whiteley with hybrid flexibility. Report to the BD Director and drive growth in the UK Ministry of Defence market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead BD to achieve annual signings targets and build 3-5 year pipeline.
  • Cultivate senior MOD relationships, positioning Leidos as strategic supplier.
  • Guide bid teams on differentiated propositions and opportunity qualification.
  • Partner with marketing for campaigns showcasing global C4ISR capabilities.
  • Execute high-value new business pursuits in Defence sector.

Required Expertise

  • Proven C4ISR sales success in UK Defence, with MOD relationships.
  • History of £25m+ contract wins and year-on-year growth.
  • Deep knowledge of MOD procurement, digital transformation (Cap SP, Cap C4ISR).
  • Skills in capture, bid leadership, stakeholder engagement, and team motivation.
  • Desirable: Autonomous systems, AI/ML, ITSM experience.

Salary

Estimated Salary Rangehigh confidence

90,000 - 130,000 GBP / yearly

  • Experience in MOD Land/Joint C4ISR campaigns (experience)
  • Proven revenue growth and target achievement (experience)
  • Expertise in sales, capture, bid, and marketing functions (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Plan and lead BD activities to meet annual awards targets
  • Develop 3-5 year opportunity pipeline aligned to UK strategy
  • Build senior relationships with Defence clients
  • Guide bid teams in pursuit and proposition development
  • Identify and qualify optimal opportunities
  • Collaborate with marketing on innovative campaigns
  • Lead new business campaigns in UK Defence market
