Primary Responsibilities
- Construct, troubleshoot, and repair cable assemblies using engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Operate specialized tools like wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering irons with precision.
- Interpret complex electrical schematics, technical specs, and blueprints.
- Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing teams, and technicians to strategize assemblies and preempt issues.
- Perform diagnostics for continuity, isolation, insulation resistance, insertion loss, and signal/connectivity faults.
Basic Qualifications
- High School diploma/GED plus 2-4 years in cable building or electrical/mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency with cable manufacturing tools and equipment.
- US Citizenship required with active Secret Clearance or eligibility to obtain.
Preferred Qualifications
- IPC/WHMA-A-620 certification (Space addendum preferred).
- J-STD-001 certification.
- Advanced testing skills for cable performance metrics.
