Join our Commercial & International Sector in Framingham, MA, and contribute to cutting-edge utility distribution projects. We're seeking a skilled CAD Drafter to support our Distribution group, where your precision and technical expertise will drive mission-critical deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed Protection & Control drawings: Single Line Diagrams, Schematics, SCADA/Communication layouts, Control Building designs, Panel views, Wiring/Interconnection diagrams, and AC/DC Station Service plans.
- Develop Physical Electrical drawings: General Arrangements, Electrical Plans/Elevations, Sections/Details, Foundation/Structural plans, Grounding/Raceway details, and Equipment Vendor files.
- Collaborate with remote Leidos offices to handle overflow CAD workloads, ensuring seamless project coordination.
- Interpret and implement engineer markups into high-fidelity CAD models using AutoCAD and MicroStation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree preferred; high school diploma with drafting certificate and experience considered.
- Entry-level experience (<1 year) in AutoCAD/MicroStation; coursework counts.
- Strong grasp of drafting techniques, Windows proficiency, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent communication, organization, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
Preferred Skills
- Utility distribution drafting experience.
- Familiarity with ProjectWise, SharePoint, and client CAD standards.
- 3D modeling in Revit, Inventor, Bentley OpenUtilities; VBA/AutoLisp knowledge.
