Join Leidos as a Cartographic Analyst Junior

Leidos is seeking a motivated Cartographic Analyst Junior to join our dynamic government/contractor team in Springfield, Virginia. Dive into Digital Nautical Chart Production and Notice to Mariners support, contributing to critical mission areas in geospatial intelligence. Key Responsibilities

• Support Standard Nautical Chart production through cartographic functions in the Enterprise Product on Demand (ePODs) process.
• Enhance Notice to Mariners production for rapid delivery of updated nautical information to customers.
• Recompile and update maritime features and attributes within ESRI-based FG MOD production environments.
• Extract features from diverse sources, including rasterized nautical charts, digital hydrographic survey data, and ortho-rectified imagery.
• Develop Python scripts in ArcGIS to streamline and improve production efficiency.
• Execute data conversion and migration tasks to maintain data integrity and accessibility.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with 0 years of experience.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required, with willingness to obtain polygraph upon request.
• Proficiency in geography, cartography, and GIS, including ArcGIS applications.
• Hands-on experience creating shapefiles, geodatabases, and features.
• Strong knowledge of digital cartography, image processing, GIS, geospatial production, and NGA digital data formats.
• Ability to utilize Geographic Names Database (GNDB) information.
• Skill in analyzing imagery and non-imagery sources for NGA hydrographic products.
• Experience generating corrections for electronic and paper nautical charts and publications.
