Leidos is seeking a Chief Software Engineer to join the CTO team for a complex, large-scale DoD program. Lead enterprise software architecture across multiple contracts, including JIATF-S, DISN, White House, and combatant commands worldwide. Drive secure, scalable, cost-effective solutions in cloud and hybrid environments.
Key Leadership Responsibilities
- Oversee architecture governance, planning, and analysis of alternatives.
- Develop and maintain Software Technology Roadmap with baselines and standards.
- Advance DevSecOps for resilience, speed, and MTTR improvement.
- Mentor teams in Agile/DevOps best practices using JIRA and Confluence.
Technical Expertise Required
Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), microservices, distributed systems, data pipelines, front-end technologies, and CI/CD. Ensure security compliance and innovation in mission-critical systems.
Collaboration & Impact
Servant leader with executive communication skills to interface with stakeholders, deliver briefings, and shape business development strategies. Hybrid role requiring onsite presence at Ft. Meade, MD and Reston, VA.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s +17 years or Master’s +15 years experience.
- DoD TS clearance (SCI/Poly preferred).
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
