Join Leidos as Chief Technical Lead in GEOAxIS

GEOAxIS, powered by Leidos under the GxNext contract (2021-2031), delivers Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) for NGA's GEOINT web applications. Maintain highly available services across security domains with on-demand access based on user attributes. We're seeking a Chief Technical Lead to drive technical execution, innovation, and modernization alongside our leadership team.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Translate complex ICAM concepts like identity lifecycle, access control, authentication, authorization, and zero trust into mission-focused capabilities aligned with NGA objectives.
  • Support leadership in vetting requirements from users, partners, stakeholders, and industry to ensure feasibility and alignment.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, overseeing development and coding.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across government, contractors, and partners for on-schedule ICAM delivery.
  • Engage non-technical stakeholders, articulating technology value, risks, and benefits in plain language.
  • Bridge technical and customer teams for shared understanding and implementation success.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to senior leaders on modernization efforts.
  • Partner with program leadership to enhance stability and deployment velocity.

Basic Qualifications

  • STEM Bachelor’s +15 years or Master’s +10 years in relevant fields.
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
  • SME in Zero Trust ICAM design; 3+ years Agile; deep IC ICAM knowledge; 5+ years ICAM.
  • On-site in Chantilly, VA (4 days/week); US Citizen.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software/mission IT architecture expertise.
  • Kubernetes (Rancher RKE2/Openshift), containerization, SAML/OAuth2/OIDC.

  • Advise senior leaders on modernization tradeoffs and impacts
