Chinese Triage Examiner

Join Leidos Intel Sector in Bethesda, MD, supporting critical media exploitation (MEDEX) and Document Exploitation (DOMEX) operations for a key National Capital Region customer. Leverage your native-level Chinese skills to triage vast datasets, identify high-value intelligence, and deliver actionable reports.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Conduct rapid data discovery across large volumes of Chinese-language media to extract essential elements of information.
  • Exploit files using forensic tools: convert, reformat, parse for translation system compatibility.
  • Review and prioritize foreign-language content per customer SOPs, applying judgment on file value.
  • Produce succinct gists, full translations, and technical summaries for analysts and stakeholders.
  • Disseminate findings via professional reports tailored for DOD/IC consumers.
  • Maintain momentum on long-term projects with minimal oversight in a high-tempo environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • TS/SCI clearance (active), eligible for polygraph/Subject Interview.
  • 2+ years Chinese linguist experience + 2 years DOMEX media examination.
  • ILR 3/3 Chinese (Reading/Listening); 3+/3+ English.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience; strong analytic and technical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in eDiscovery tools, office software, and rapid adaptation to custom systems.

Preferred Skills

Experience with NMEC-LEaRN program, SCI-level access, shift work flexibility, and outcomes-based problem-solving on abstract challenges. Occasional travel to JIRC sites possible.

  • Produce and disseminate reports of findings to customers and analysts
  • Prepare accurate gists, translations, and transcriptions of technical material
  • Communicate progress and significant findings to superiors
