Position Overview

Leidos seeks a skilled Citrix Systems Administrator to support the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC) in Bethesda, MD. This 100% on-site role at the Intelligence Community Campus involves operations and maintenance of Citrix VDI environments across enclaves, driving adoption of thin-client platforms, and enhancing reliability, functionality, and user experience for diverse users. Work collaboratively to meet mission-critical needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform remote administration of offsite servers and Tier 3 support for Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, and StoreFront.
  • Monitor infrastructure health (storage, network, databases) to preempt issues.
  • Plan modernizations, analyze network latency, and implement upgrades/patches.
  • Coordinate Group Policy testing, backups, capacity sizing, and license renewals.
  • Develop solutions from incident data, provide root cause reports, and update SOPs/documentation.
  • Mentor juniors and ensure 24/7 IT watch support.

Basic Qualifications

  • Tier 3 admin experience with customer service, IC IT standards, and Citrix expertise.
  • Proficiency in patching, imaging, log analysis, and problem management.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience as Tier 3 system administrator with IT Service Management software (experience)
  • Knowledge of IC IT standards and best practices (experience)
  • Experience with patch/upgrade methodologies for Citrix systems (experience)
  • Proven skills in rapid testing, validation, and deployment of baseline images (experience)
  • Strong incident/trend analysis via log review and performance baselining (experience)
  • Customer interaction experience handling service inquiries (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 3 operations support for Citrix technologies distinguishing user issues from outages
  • Monitor infrastructure for anomalies including storage, network, and database health
  • Collaborate on modernization efforts and network latency analysis
  • Implement version/architectural changes, major upgrades, and Group Policy modifications
  • Perform backups/restorations, capacity monitoring, and license/certificate management
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for incident resolution and solution development
  • Generate SOPs, update documentation, and mentor junior team members
