Join Leidos as a COBRA Training Support Specialist in Anniston, AL

Leidos is seeking a dedicated COBRA Training Support Specialist to support the Training and Delivery Services program at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, Alabama. CDP is a premier national training facility equipping state and local emergency responders for all-hazards scenarios, including CBRNE incidents, mass casualties, and hazardous materials events through hands-on, state-of-the-art training.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with course managers, resident instructors, subcontractors, and support staff for seamless resident training delivery.
  • Manage setup and recovery of training areas for both classroom sessions and live agent facilities.
  • Provide hands-on support for donning and doffing personal protective equipment (PPE) during instruction.
  • Execute operational-level donning/doffing procedures amid performance-oriented, multi-task training.
  • Prepare, fit, and maintain PPE for responders participating in live agent training evolutions.
  • Strictly adhere to all regulations, guidance, and supervisor directives for safe entries into the COBRATF live agent training environment.
  • Proactively pursue cross-training opportunities to optimize training outcomes for student responders.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support mission success.

Basic Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Physical capability to frequently lift, push, and pull over 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in wearing PPE while executing all operational tasks.
  • Demonstrated physical fitness for demanding duties.
  • Competence in applying hazardous materials principles in high-risk scenarios.
  • Strong oral communication skills for workforce training.
  • Ability to operate standard CBRN/HAZMAT equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship mandatory per Federal contract; Real ID-compliant government ID required.
  • Successful completion of pre-placement screening: background check, credit bureau verification, and FOIA disclosure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in live toxic agent operations or training support.
