Join Leidos as a COBRA Training Support Specialist in Anniston, AL

Leidos is seeking a dedicated COBRA Training Support Specialist to support the Training and Delivery Services program at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, Alabama. CDP is a premier national training facility equipping state and local emergency response personnel to handle all hazards, including terrorist attacks with weapons of mass destruction. Our hands-on courses deliver critical knowledge for CBRNE, mass casualty, and hazmat incident deterrence, prevention, and response.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist course managers, resident instructors, sub-contractors, and support staff for resident training programs.
  • Execute training area setup and recovery for classroom and live agent facilities.
  • Support instructional staff during PPE donning and doffing sessions.
  • Perform operational-level donning/doffing in multi-task, performance-oriented training.
  • Prepare and fit PPE for responders in live agent environments.
  • Adhere to all regulations and supervisor directives for COBRATF live agent entries.
  • Engage in cross-training to optimize student responder experiences.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • GED or High School Diploma required.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, and pull over 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to wear PPE and perform all tasks while equipped.
  • Adequate physical fitness for demanding duties.
  • Knowledge of hazmat principles in life-threatening scenarios.
  • Strong oral communication for workforce training.
  • Proficiency operating standard CBRN/HAZMAT equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship; Real ID-compliant government ID.
  • Pass pre-placement screening: background check, credit check, FOIA disclosure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting live toxic agent operations/training.
