Join Leidos as a COBRA Training Support Specialist in Anniston, AL

Leidos is seeking a dedicated COBRA Training Support Specialist to support the Training and Delivery Services program at the Center for Domestic Preparedness (CDP) in Anniston, Alabama. CDP is a premier national training facility equipping state and local emergency responders for all-hazards incidents, including CBRNE events, mass casualties, and hazardous materials. Deliver hands-on, state-of-the-art training that saves lives.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assist course managers, resident instructors, subcontractors, and support staff for resident training delivery.
  • Execute training area setup and recovery for classroom and live agent facilities.
  • Support instructional staff during PPE donning and doffing demonstrations.
  • Perform operational-level donning/doffing in multi-task, performance-oriented training scenarios.
  • Prepare, fit, and maintain PPE for responders in live agent training.
  • Adhere to all regulations, guidance, and supervisor directives for COBRATF live agent entries.
  • Engage in cross-training to enhance student responder experiences.
  • Handle additional duties as assigned to support mission success.

Basic Qualifications

  • GED or High school diploma required.
  • Physical capability to frequently lift, push, and pull over 50 pounds.
  • Proficiency in wearing PPE while performing all operational tasks.
  • Adequate physical fitness for demanding duties.
  • Knowledge of hazardous materials principles in life-threatening scenarios.
  • Strong oral communication skills for workforce training.
  • Ability to operate standard CBRN/HAZMAT equipment.
  • U.S. citizenship; Real ID-compliant government ID.
  • Pass pre-placement screening: background check, credit check, FOIA disclosure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years supporting live toxic agent operations/training.
