Leidos is seeking a dynamic communications professional to support critical Defense capability areas: Airborne & Mission Solutions and Decision Advantage. In this hands-on, mid-level role, you'll develop and execute internal and external communications that showcase how Leidos delivers mission-ready solutions, enhancing military intelligence operations and accelerating decision advantage for the warfighter.
Primary Responsibilities
- Internal & External Communications: Craft content for announcements, intranet articles, newsletters, presentations, web copy, and social media to align employees and stakeholders with priorities.
- Technical & Mission Storytelling: Translate complex topics like platform integration, ISR platforms, mission software, and multi-domain data analytics into clear, compelling narratives in collaboration with SMEs.
- Campaign & Event Support: Plan and execute communications for initiatives, tech demos, trade shows, and customer engagements.
- Collaboration & Alignment: Partner with Defense communications team, corporate marketing, and growth teams to ensure messaging consistency and brand adherence.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing or related + 4+ years experience (or equivalent).
- Expert writing/editing skills using AP Style.
- Digital content experience; multitasking in fast-paced settings; stakeholder collaboration; MS Office/Teams proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Defense/intelligence/national security experience.
- Familiarity with military ops, ISR, mission software, data analytics.
- Technical content simplification; AI experience; U.S. clearance eligibility.
